Grimsby, St Jame’s Park

Nestled between the Minster and town centre, St James’ Square has long been a tranquil spot for locals to sit and enjoy. The newly transformed scheme features a fantastic central labyrinth made up from Scoutmoor Yorkstone and inlaid bronze which forms part of a vibrant space that will cater for daily users, visitors and community events alike improving its role as a heritage and arts destination.

Grimsby-based Our Big Picture Ltd commissioned artist, Adrian Riley, to research and design the historic references, words and phrases that are etched into the paving and seating throughout the square, to reflect Grimsby’s past, present and future.
