‘Orchard’

The Orchard Trail artworks are designed to encourage interactive play, learning and exploration. Residents and visitors are invited to express their creativity by creating rubbings of the intricate inlaid designs.

The brief concept was developed to create a focal crown point which beautifully conceals a cast bronze butterfly which quietly sits beneath. The herringbone detail was created using a delicate sandblasting technique into the St Bee’s sandstone, this project designed by Kerry Lemon is a celebration of ‘The King’s Orchard’
