Scribble Stone inspire surfaces were featured at the Surface Design Show 2023. Over the past year, our team has been working hard to advance Scribble Stone to a more creative and contemporary direction. Below, you will see what we accomplished in creating a gallery space for the exhibit. With porcelain, we have created a bright modern space as well as recreating two iconic Picasso paintings to showcase the different porcelain we supply.

Surface Design Show 2023

Our gallery space was created with Glem White, using large sheets to build the 3 walls to make it a bright, clean, modern space. Using our water-jet machine we cut an ornate-style frame out of Liem Dark to border the artwork. Using this dark, bold porcelain added depth and focus to the portraits. The Taj Mahal was used as a background for the artwork. With its refined aesthetic, it interprets natural quartzite in a manner that works well for this style of portrait. We recreated the paintings using different porcelains to match the colours in the originals as closely as we could while maintaining a marble effect throughout.
