The ‘wayfinding’ stone is part of the London Road regeneration scheme to improve the gateway to the High Street for visitors, residents and local businesses. Using our innovative finishing techniques we worked with the artist to create this stunning architectural installation which celebrates the history of the area.

The project includes key dates and figures in the history of Southend, including the Kursaal (Amusement park) opening in 1984 and highlighting stand-out attractions such as Southend Pier. It can be used to find key landmarks in Southend following arrows around the circular design pointing to places such as Gunners Park, Prittlewell Priory and the station.to create this stunning feature.
